Temple Night
Play Temple: Temple Meets Play Party, from shy to what you actually want (with Reid)
About this event
Taking your Temple Experiences To the Next Level
Not a swingers party. Not a fully vanilla Temple night. Something in between, on purpose. Mindful, consensual, connective.
Welcome to our fusion of play party and Temple night. We kept noticing that Temple nights can feel "too vanilla," and swinger or play parties can feel too fast, too much, too unconnected, for us sensual and spiritually curious beings. So after 6 years of running Temples, Raminta teamed up with Reid Mihalko (20 years in sex education, play parties and etc.) to build something that actually bridges both worlds.
How the night works:
First we learn together. Then we check in. Then the playground opens.
You don't have to play to belong here. Watching counts. Talking counts. Sitting by the snacks while naked humans wander past counts. There's no script, only invitations. And yes, you can keep your clothes on the entire night.
Whether this is your first play party or your hundredth Temple, come curious. Leave more confident in your own yes and no.
Beginner? Perfect. This is a great first sex positive event, because everyone learns together first. You'll have met people, practiced a few conversations, and know what to expect before anything begins.
Been to a hundred of them? Also perfect. Use the workshop to sharpen your skills, notice old habits, meet fresh faces, and become an even better role model for the community. And then, well, there's still an open play afterwards.
PART 1: The Workshop (mandatory if you want to attend the free flow)
How To Be Successful at Sex Positive Events (From flirting to sex)
Or the way Reid liked to call it: From flirting to Fucking - as we all sometimes could use permission to fuck.
Are you going to a play party soon? Always wanted to but felt too nervous to actually RSVP "Going"? Or have been to loads of sexy events and still wonder... HOW are those people doing that?!
How do strangers go from "Hi, my name is" to a spark, to flirting, to negotiating, to making out, playing, cuddling, watching, or whatever delicious adventure they agreed to? And how do they do it?!
What if you're shy? Or new? Or not even sure you want to play? You are not alone.
Good news: there are so many ways to have a great night that never require getting naked. And if getting naked is on your bucket list, we can help you navigate that too.
In this fun, humorous, interactive workshop, we will cover:
- How to flirt without being creepy
- The biggest mistakes even smart, caring people make
- How to tell if someone's actually interested
- How to make invitations without making someone responsible for your feelings
- How to make consent conversations sexy, create the mood instead of ruining it
- How to hear "no" without falling apart
- How to tell when you probably shouldn't play with someone
- Icebreakers for even the shyest human in the room
- How to negotiate play, one on one or with several people
- How to talk safer sex, boundaries and desires
- How to become someone people want to play with
- And how to have a wonderful night even if you never play with anyone at all
PART 2: Free Flow, Temple Meets Play Party (optional if you want to play)
Instead of "go home and practice," we take a break to slip into something sexier if you like, do our Play Party Check-In, and shift into a sexy choose-your-own-adventure.
Maybe you'll flirt. Maybe you'll introduce yourself to someone new. Maybe you'll ask for something. Maybe you'll get a no and discover, hey, you survived. Maybe you'll make out, cuddle, negotiate a scene, or have sex. Maybe you'll watch. Maybe you'll sit by the snacks with interesting humans while naked people wander past.
All of those count.
- Watching is participation.
- Socializing is participation.
- Taking a break is participation.
- You never have to play.
- You never owe anyone your touch, attention or sexuality.
- Consent is active, ongoing and required.
- Changing your mind is allowed.
- "No" is sexy. "I changed my mind" is sexy. "Want to watch instead?" can be very sexy.
There's no script. Only invitations. No "have to's," only your own delicious "get to's."
The basics:
Consent is active and ongoing. No drugs or alcohol. No photos. What happens here stays here, you can share your own experience, never someone else's. All genders, bodies, orientations and relationship styles welcome.
This isn't about getting laid. It's about staying connected to yourself in a room full of desire, and seeing what happens from there.
Come learn. Come flirt. Come Play.
