This schedule applies to tickets sold through Arivela. It supplements the
Terms of Service for ticket buyers and the
Terms for Hosts.

WHAT THE SERVICE FEE IS
The service fee is our consideration for arranging the offer to you, issuing and delivering your
ticket and handling the payment. It is due to Arivela and is not part of the price the host
charges for the event. The host does not receive it.

The calculation runs in this order: first the percentage on the price of a single ticket, then the
minimum, then — where set — the maximum. The resulting amount applies to each ticket in the order
separately; the sum appears as its own line during checkout and is contained in the highlighted
total.
TICKET TYPES
- Paid tickets — fee as above.
- Free tickets — no service fee. A free order costs nothing.
- Pay-what-you-can tickets — the service fee is 5% of the amount actually paid, with no minimum and no cap. This is the one ticket kind the minimum above does not apply to: on a small voluntary amount a floor would weigh heavier than the payment itself.
WHAT HAPPENS ON A REFUND
Whenever a ticket is refunded — at your request, as a goodwill gesture from us, or because the
host cancels the date — the ticket price comes back to you on the payment method
you used.
The service fee is not returned on a refund — not even when the host cancels.
It paid for arranging the offer, issuing your ticket and handling the payment, and that work was
done by then. The fee for tickets that stay valid stays with Arivela too.
WHAT HOSTS PAY
Arivela currently charges hosts nothing for using the platform. Arivela bears Stripe's processing fees. The host receives the ticket price less refunds.
CHANGES
We announce changes to this schedule to hosts at least 15 days in advance on a durable medium.
For an order already placed, the amount shown in it always applies.
