Mantra Singing
Happiness Festival
About this event
The Happiness Festival is a one-day event in Munich, hosted by the Art of Living Foundation.
What and when: Join us on Saturday, 31 October 2026, at BMW Park (Grasweg 74, Munich). Doors open at 14:30, and the program runs from 16:30 to 21:30. The day is all about breathwork, meditation, music and genuine connection — a chance to unwind, clear your head and recharge. No prior experience is needed, and the event is held in both German and English.
The idea behind it: As the organizers see it, inner happiness rests on four pillars: mind, body, community and purpose. The festival brings all four together in a single day. Once you register, you'll receive "happiness challenges" to help you get in the spirit beforehand.
Program: The headline guest is Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, founder of Art of Living. He'll talk about finding your way to inner joy, answer questions from the audience and lead a session of breathing techniques and meditation. You can also look forward to a yoga performance with 200 participants in front of 6,000 people, a dance session with Detlef Soost and his crew, a guitar ensemble, the finale of an art contest, and a mantra concert to sing along with. Vegetarian food is available on site.
Take part yourself: You're welcome to step onto the stage too — in the yoga performance (basic yoga skills are enough), in the Happiness Guitar Ensemble with 108 guitarists (four chords will do), or in the art contest, which you can apply for until 15 October with a video of up to three minutes.
Tickets: Choose from Silver, Gold and Platin tickets (regularly €59, €119 and €229), with a "Wiesn-Special" discount available only until 4 October — so today is your last chance. Students and seniors pay a reduced rate, and children under 10 join free when accompanied by a registered adult. Tickets are non-refundable but can be passed on to someone else.
