Pitru Tarpan Ceremony
About this event
Pitru Paksha is a deeply sacred period in dharma dedicated to remembering our ancestors, expressing gratitude towards them, and offering prayers for their peace and blessings. It is a time when we honor the lineage from which we have received life, values, and blessings.
On this auspicious occasion, a special Pitru Tarpan ceremony will be performed on 10 October at 4:00 PM, on the sacred banks of Mother Ganga. 🌊🪔
🌿 Significance of Pitru Tarpan
Tarpan is not merely the offering of water. It is a sacred expression of faith, gratitude, love, remembrance, and respect towards our ancestors. Through Tarpan, we remember our departed ancestors and offer prayers for their peace and spiritual well-being.
Performing Tarpan on the sacred banks of the Ganga is considered especially meaningful in our spiritual tradition. It gives us an opportunity to fulfill our duties towards our ancestors and seek their blessings for the well-being and harmony of our family.
