Holistic Retreats- Teacher Training Programs - International Certification

The Andean Yoga School (also known as the Andean School of Yoga) is an internationally certified yoga training center located in the Sacred Valley (Pisac, Cusco) in Peru. The school is distinguished by a unique approach that combines traditional yoga practices (Hatha and Vinyasa) with the indigenous wisdom and mythology of the Andes (the so-called Andean Cosmovision) and ceremonies. The school was founded and is led by Daya Nimai Das, an experienced teacher and ceremonial master who frequently collaborates with Divinitree Yoga (Anna Verbach).

The Concept: Yoga Meets Andean Wisdom

What sets this school apart from traditional Indian or Western training institutions is its deep integration into local culture: • The 3 Worlds of Cosmovision: The yoga sequences are thematically based on the three worlds of Andean cosmology: Uku Pacha (underworld/subconscious), Kay Pacha (earthly world/present), and Hanan Pacha (heavenly world/higher consciousness). • The Chakana (Andean Cross): The structure of the courses weaves together the philosophy of yoga with the symbolism of the Andean cross. • Ancestral Rituals: The programs often include sacred ceremonies (e.g., Despacho gratitude rituals, sweat lodges/temazcals, or shamanic herbal medicine) in collaboration with local Q’ero healers.

Training Programs

The courses are designed for both those who wish to teach and practitioners seeking an intensive personal transformation. All programs are accredited by the Yoga Alliance: • 200-Hour YTT (Yoga Teacher Training): An intensive residential program, typically lasting 21 to 22 days, covering the fundamentals of Hatha, Vinyasa, Pranayama, philosophy, and anatomy. • 300-Hour / 500-Hour YTT: Advanced training programs for deeper alignment, intelligent sequencing, and advanced Andean studies. Accommodations & Meals: The training programs usually take place at fully equipped retreat centers (such as the Yanantin complex) in Pisac and include vegetarian full board, accommodations, and excursions to the surrounding Andean mountains.

Brin- ging Worlds Together

  • We unite traditional yoga with Andean wisdom
  • Integrate ancient teachings
  • Fostering an authentic, heart-centered community.
  • Supporting healers worldwide to build holistic businesses and communities

Most trainings teach you a practice. This one gives you a structure to keep using. You will learn asana, pranayama, anatomy, philosophy and how to hold a room — all of it, properly, to Yoga Alliance standard. But the reason people come here from across the world is the other thing: a methodology, carried in the Andes for centuries, for understanding how a life unfolds in time. Three worlds. Where you came from. What you are building. What you pass on. It is a psychology as much as a cosmology, and once you have it, you use it for the rest of your life — on yourself first, and then on the people you teach.
